AE Comp Duration Script

The Comp Duration Script is a dockable After Effects panel to quickly extend or decrease your timeline without opening the Composition Settings window.

I made this Script for myself, as I noticed that other animation software has this function in the open near the timeline, so I've brought it forward for AE.

Installation instructions

Download 'Comp Duration.jsx' and move it to the following Directory:

Windows:

Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects (your version here)\Support Files\Scripts\ScriptUI Panels

Mac:

Applications\After Effects (your version here)\Scripts\ScriptUI Panels

You will then find the script at the bottom of the 'Window' menu.

Tested on AE CC 2022, 2023 and 2024
